Had to put our agility class back til the end of November.. I reviewed my tournament schedule and there's just no way. I'd be missing 3 out of 7 classes.. and you need 5 to move onto the next one. I want to see what we can accomplish with it.. so there's no way we're not moving on to the next!

I got to watch a competition level obedience course today, those dogs are GOOD. They listened to every cue, and followed their owner's every moment. Beautiful and quite the sight to see.

On the back burner is wondering if I could really ever get into tattooing... it's always been a personal dream, and if I ever am able to do it (as a side thing, of course. Nothing could replace my passion for dogs and working with them.) then I wouldn't do it for money- I'd do it for creating beauty on other's. I love my tattoos.. I want more, and I want to give them to others.

We'll see what I can do, I guess (:

Very tired, I've got Yoga in the morning, but I wanted to get this out of the way before I forget.

Friday's practice went terrific, did some head to head racing and team racing over 3 jumps only to prepare for the Meet the Breeds event (Which I am so stoked for!)

Baer performed wonderfully, she was as excited as ever and really pushed herself this time, I could tell.

One thing I really want to do more of with her are restrained recalls. She pushes herself HARD to get to the box and ball, then pushes back to me but not as hard as I'd like.

I've watched her box turn- it's nice, all 4 feet off the ground, hell it's even tight. She doesn't waste much time there. She just needs to amp herself up more to get back to me. Then she'll be pulling off consistently lower times, I think. I want her to launch herself back to me like she does to the box, and I think restrained recalls will be the way to go.

Super happy that practice had no issues, and we both performed our best. Here's to next weekend in NYC with my friend and partner (: (and hubby too!)

We start Beginner Agility on Oct 20nd, so excited!

Only, I'm going to miss the first class because we'll be in NYC for a flyball demo at the AKC Meet the Breed event. I feel truly lucky to be able to go to a well established event such as this, with such an amazing team as Infurno. Hubby is coming too, he'll be running a fast, beautiful Border collie owned by my team captain. I can't wait!

It has been a crazy couple of weeks, and it's hard settling down into a routine, but I'm doing alright with it. I am truly lucky to be working at my new job- it's a great opportunity, and I'm enjoying every moment of it.

Back to flyball talk...

I've been trying hard to put some weight on Baer, with this busy summer she got a little too thin for my liking. So I haven't been taking her on as many hikes, and I've been feeding her more. But we got to go on a nice hike today with my friend and her dog during my lunch break, in the fields at my work. How lucky am I? :)

We also have a dog treadmill at work that Baer has really gotten the hang of- she does great with it, and it will help on days where it's raining and we can't do too much outside.

Did I mention I'm excited for agility class??
