We start Beginner Agility on Oct 20nd, so excited!
Only, I'm going to miss the first class because we'll be in NYC for a flyball demo at the AKC Meet the Breed event. I feel truly lucky to be able to go to a well established event such as this, with such an amazing team as Infurno. Hubby is coming too, he'll be running a fast, beautiful Border collie owned by my team captain. I can't wait!
It has been a crazy couple of weeks, and it's hard settling down into a routine, but I'm doing alright with it. I am truly lucky to be working at my new job- it's a great opportunity, and I'm enjoying every moment of it.
Back to flyball talk...
I've been trying hard to put some weight on Baer, with this busy summer she got a little too thin for my liking. So I haven't been taking her on as many hikes, and I've been feeding her more. But we got to go on a nice hike today with my friend and her dog during my lunch break, in the fields at my work. How lucky am I? :)
We also have a dog treadmill at work that Baer has really gotten the hang of- she does great with it, and it will help on days where it's raining and we can't do too much outside.
Did I mention I'm excited for agility class??
Sounds like you are having a good time. I wouldn't shorten any exercise to put weight on my dogs, since I want all their weight to be in muscle, I would just up their food and increase their awesome treats and such to get them to gain a bit. But then, that might just be because my dogs would drive me nuts if I tried to cut back on their exercise!
ReplyDeleteHaha well I've been really just trying ANYTHING to get her to gain weight. Since she's been staying with me at work she is tired by the end of the day anyway which is a blessing. She'd be driving my crazy otherwise LOL
